JAMILLA IS A TATREEZ ARTIST, GRAD STUDENT, AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZER (@LEELAJA.TATREEZ). It was love at first site with tatreez for Jamilla and a few years later, it was also her entrance into community organizing.
Together, we hear about her family's connection to Palestine, how she incorporates this traditional art form into her community work, the practical tips she uses to add tatreez to her wardrobe, and for those interested in becoming more community organizing, advice on getting started.
